Richard L. Reeder, 83, of Harrisburg, IL died at 11:05 pm at Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 1 pm at Ledford Cemetery in Ledford, IL. Reverend Kenny Blumenstock will officiate. There will be no visitation; family and friends are directed to go straight to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
Richard was born on October 31, 1941 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Delmar Paul Reeder and Thelma (Medlin) Reeder.
He married the former Patricia Long in 1964 and she survives.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After the military, he spent most of his career working asa mechanic and worked for many years operating heavy equipment in mine construction.
In his free time Richard enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing or hunting. He also loved to fire up his grill to BBQ, and do mechanic work here and there.
