Ralph Jones Coffey, 92, passed Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Eldorado Rehab & Health Center. Ralph was the son of Arthur Ralph and Ruth Isabel (Jones) Coffey born January 26, 1932 in Walpole, IL. Ralph married Patricia McKinnis Coffey on November 18, 1950 in Piggot, Arkansas.
Ralph graduated from Eldorado in 1950, served in the Air Force, graduated from University of Illinois, worked for the Illinois Dept. of Transportation as a civil engineer. Retired and went on to work as Hamilton County Engineer until 2004.
Ralph was proud to have served on the Eldorado School Board. He was a lifelong member of Eldorado Masonic Lodge.
Ralph was a member of Eldorado First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife; children Michaela M. (John) Ewald, Carol A. (Kent) Waggoner and Scott R. (Beth) Coffey; grandchildren Patrick C. Waggoner, Lucas J. (Nicole) Waggoner, Laura A.(Coffey) (David) Lorenz and Sarah A. Coffey, great grandchildren Oliver J., Max L., and Samuel G. Waggoner and Austin D. and S
