Ray Brown passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024 with his devoted love Lacey by his side. Ray was born on April 15, 1960, 2nd of 4 children to the late Cecil Ray Brown and Barbara (Skelton) Gruppo. As per requested, there were no services.
Ray was a lifelong Owner/Operator of a 3rd generation excavating business. Belonging at different times to Local Operating Engineers #318. A multiple term Road commissioner for East Eldorado Township and a member of the Eldorado Men's Club.
Ray, as well as his father, began to know his talent in the excavating world at the age of 9. Ray's father was going to take a lunch break while allowing Ray to piddle with the backhoe. Ray started to dig a hole as he had requested his dad to allow him to do. Cecil decided to check on him and upon his amazement Ray was digging what was to end up the most perfect hole, especially for a 9 year old!
