Jimmy L. Smith, 69, of Eldorado, passed away on may 28, 2024 in Raleigh, IL.
Jimmy was born in Kentucky on November 2, 1954 to the late Sunny and Maria Smith. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he was a Sergant and took on many roles, administrative chief, administrative clerk, field artillery nuclear projectionist and field artillery battalion. He earned good conduct medal, rifle expert badge, ex. Service medal. He had many hobbies as he loved to fish, collect coins, put model cars together, detail cars and mechanic work.
He is survived by a son, Jeffery Smith and a daughter Stephanie Smith, stepchildren, Angie Gollihur, Glendal Wiseman Jr., Scotty Wiseman, Beth Watson of Eldorado and Bobbi Gilbert of Raleigh. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and his sidekick Taysia his dog. He was preceded in death by his grandson Austin Gollihur and his partner for 30 years Pam Wiseman.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024
