Bill Springer, 68, of Equality, IL, passed away on May 16, 2024 in the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Bill was born in Millheim, PA on July 17, 1955 to the late William J. and Nigel Bernice (Holt) Springer. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic Inspector for the Department of the Army.
Bill led a varied and colorful life with many hobbies.
When he was younger, Bill was accomplished in martial arts. He shared his love of pool with his daughter Chris and, throughout his life, was an avid pool player. Most weeks he could be seen hustling someone into a game of pool or could be found playing in leagues and tournaments. Bill loved to ride motorcycles. And this love he share with his son, Bigg.
If you knew Bill, you knew that he was fond of a good meal. And before he became ill, he could cook. That man made a fish soup that was incredible.
He went on to become a Mason and a Shiner -- two groups that he took pride in the work that they did.
